This page is a resources index for Chicago live music. For the full venue-by-venue guide, see our Chicago Live Music Guide and Chicago Music Venues Guide.
Finding shows
Chicago's live music calendar is large enough that no single source covers it completely. Venue sites list their own upcoming shows. Local music media — Time Out Chicago, the Chicago Reader — maintain event listings updated regularly. For festival dates, the festival's own site is the authoritative source.
Short Notes does not sell tickets and has no affiliation with any venue or promoter. We are an editorial journal covering the Chicago live music scene.
